This month, we’d like to introduce you to Pacie Ostby! Pacie is a nursing student, and works as a swim instructor for Carmel Swim Academy. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her better.

How did you start working with the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I started working for CSA because I love working with kids, and I think teaching swim lessons is a very rewarding job. I get to see kids grow and flourish with their skills that they learn and have fun doing it!”

How would you describe the culture at the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I would describe the culture at CSA Inclusive, Motivating, and Welcoming.”

Why do you think swim lessons are important?
“I think swim lessons are I important because they teach kids needed skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. Learning to swim gives kids confidence and teaches water safety.”

What do you like about working at the Carmel Swim Academy?
“I love teaching swim lessons because I am able to interact with the kids and watch them learn and grow their skills while having fun. I also get to celebrate their achievements with them in the water whether that’s overcoming a fear or learning a new skill.”
