This month, we’d like to introduce you to Betsy Fowler! You’ll find Betsy teaching our water exercise classes and greeting all of our swimmers at our front desk. We asked Betsy a few questions so you could get to know her better:
Why did you start working at CSA?
“I met Nicole during the time the Carmel Swim Club rented the PrimeLife pool for swim lessons. Nicole said she needed staff for the new Carmel Swim Academy pool and asked if I was interested. I started working here when the pool opened in July.”
How would you describe CSA’s culture?
“Friendly, happy, busy, fun, dedicated, professional.”
Why do you think water fitness and swim lessons are important?
“Swim lessons are so important for everyone. Everyone should feel safe and confident in the aquatic environment. Water fitness is important in so many ways. So many types of water fitness are out there: from very intense cross training and HIIT workouts to aerobics, Arthritis Aquatics classes, and Tai Chi classes. Water fitness is an effective, low-impact, full-body workout that is easy on your joints while challenging your muscles and cardiovascular system and building endurance. Water fitness is excellent for pre- and post-surgery patients. I could go on and on about water fitness! As you can tell, I am a cheerleader for water fitness classes. Come and join me for water exercise class here at Carmel Swim Academy!
